Human Resources Manager Kaylie Galinis and HR Generalist Sandra Khalaf had a long day onboarding 35 people in a marathon session on the shop floor as MPW and PPS acquired Lee Industrial Services in Huntsville, Alabama this summer.
“I was really impressed with them and wanted to share the awesome and amazing effort they put in to make this happen,” said Human Resources Director Jim Tyznik.
“The experience was exciting!” said Khalaf. “It was great getting to collaborate with the rest of the team on onboarding everyone and answering everyone’s questions in-person. It is always a huge learning experience when I get to be out in the field and see firsthand what operations does.”
Khalaf said onboarding 35 people in one day was hectic, to say the least. “But, several people from MPW helped support me and Kaylie to ensure everyone started on time,” she said.
“We went to a couple different customer sites to meet with the employees. We were working on their schedule so we were at the plant until about midnight,” Galinis said. She and Khalaf explained the benefits of joining MPW and they all seemed very happy on the additional perks they would receive with joining MPW. “Sandra and I were efficiently working together to get everyone onboarded. It wasn’t easy but we did it together and we both laughed about it being a great team building experience!” Galinis said. “We learned a lot from it and are looking forward to doing it again as the company continues to grow and we add more people to our team!”
