Sales Director, PPS
Christopher Dickson brings nearly three decades of hands-on experience and leadership in the paint stripping industry to his role as Sales Director at PPS. A dynamic and strategic leader, he balances big-picture sales planning with hands-on support for his team.
Dickson began his management career in 1998 at a structural steel fabrication facility. After years of partnership and collaboration with PPS as a trusted advisor and friendly competitor, he officially joined the company in June 2024.
As Sales Director, Dickson works with his team to develop and execute strategies that align with PPS’ broader business goals. He leads forecasting, budgeting, prospecting, and competitor analysis while ensuring his team remains accountable and aligned with expectations. His workday often includes site visits, customer engagement, and interdepartmental planning sessions.
Dickson thrives on building lasting customer relationships and driving team success. He finds satisfaction in wins with new clients and values learning about different manufacturing processes through plant tours. Despite the challenges of managing customer expectations, he remains committed to delivering excellent service through proactive communication and continuous improvement.
Dickson believes the key to long-term success is a high-performing, motivated sales team and a strong customer network. He emphasizes the importance of industry knowledge, adaptability, and clear goal alignment. His team-focused mindset and passion for service excellence play a central role in PPS’ growth.
Recent team wins make Dickson especially proud, such as securing significant price increases and forming partnerships with several major clients.
Dickson said the current tariffs between the USA and Canada, where PPS is based, pose challenges for the entire PPS team. While these tariffs don’t directly impact PPS’ cross-border services, the company encounters complexities related to exemption paperwork and adapting to new regulations.
Dickson’s team works in close coordination with compliance teams and partners to ensure minimal disruption to operations and maintain a seamless customer experience.
Off the clock, Dickson enjoys rebuilding and riding vintage motorcycles with his wife of 28 years, Christina. Together, they enjoy DIY projects and time on the water. Their daughter, Katie, is a special education teacher.
With a passion for operations and a deep-rooted enthusiasm for paint stripping, Dickson continues to bring value to PPS through leadership, innovation, and dedication.
